即便放在现在看，这部兼顾商业类型与社会意识的作品也毫不过时，以犯罪片的模式展开一系列关于社会、家庭、个人的探讨，虽然类型化的手法比较生硬粗糙，但对于性启蒙的大胆表露、对性别歧视入木三分的透析，浮躁空虚的社会与同样无所事事、饱受性冲动折磨的男青年之间遥相呼应，“疯狂的代价”不只是罪犯的疯狂，受害者姐妹也落入疯狂的境地之下，被复仇的冲动和情感的异化所控制，导致了人格与情感的扭曲；相依为命的姐妹/兄弟之间也形成颇具意味的对位关系，整体架构巧妙，80年代真的是一个奇妙的年代，对一切都想要去挖掘、探索。
